Why Should I Use Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)?
Everyone has heard of PPC advertising, but not everyone knows all about it. Basically PPC means that every time someone clicks your advert you pay for their click whether you gain a sale or not. There are usually two types of opinion when it comes to PPC, you either love it or hate it.
What’s so good about it?
You might think that this is a bad way of advertising and you may end up paying for a lot of clicks where the people aren’t really interested in buying anything at all. You would be correct in this assumption, but the trick is to place the adverts in the right place and target the right demographic.
The type of places you can place PPC adverts are: Google, Facebook, MySpace, Bing etc to name a few. These companies will have their own software you can use to place the adverts in the right place. Facebook for example will ask you what age group pages you would like your advert to appear on etc. This is only one parameter of course and there are quite a number of other options you can choose to target the right demographic.
How do I operate PPC effectively?
You can operate it most effectively by employing the services of an expert in the field. If you can describe to your marketing agency and let them know all about your product then you may be in with a chance to run an effective PPC campaign. The great thing about these campaigns is that you can pay your advertising budget into your PPC account beforehand and you won’t get charged any more.
Limit your own budget to being within what you wish to spend and give yourself a certain amount of time before you reassess how effective the campaign was. If you have made more money from business than you have spent on advertising then it may be worth paying in a little more on PPC. If you haven’t made any money at all then you might need to reconsider PPC, or at the very least reconfigure where you are placing the adverts.
