Please excuse the cringeworthy, although ultimately hilarious, pun above, but there’s a real buzz around our new incentive scheme and it has driven everyone Crystal Crazy, as you’ll see at the bottom of the page.
The new scheme is, if you haven’t already guessed, a Crystal Maze-themed extravaganza that will see our brave teams battling it out over several weeks in order to win treasured crystals that will buy them time inside our very own inflatable crystal dome.
Just like the thrilling game show from the 90s, albeit without Mumsy or the harmonica playing, our new incentive will take the teams on a madcap journey through four zones; Aztec, Mediaeval, Futuristic and Industrial. They’ll come up against a set of different maze-inspired challenges each week – physical, mental, skill and mystery – and those who seal victory in the individual events will go on to gain vital time inside the dome.
All this is the brainchild of Steve Jayson, one of our department heads, and he’s understandably pretty excited about the launch of the scheme. We caught up with him earlier this week at the official launch event to hear what he had to say.
“I have wanted to do this incentive for around eight years but have always struggled to find a crystal dome. This time round I was determined, so had the dome custom built and shipped from China, the crystals are replicas of the originals from Norway and the bald wig was made in Taiwan so the whole world has basically contributed,” he said.
