How long does the PCI compliance assessment take?

The length of the assessment (or SAQ) depends on the size of your business and the type of card payment solution you employ — whether in-store, online or over the phone. Lengths of SAQs range from 14 to 300+ questions, which often makes it confusing for first-time merchants. If merchants complete it incorrectly, the assessment can take longer than it should. With PCI phone validation, you are guaranteed to complete the SAQ correctly. We will take you through each stage of the assessment and ensure you’re PCI compliant for a whole year.

How long will it take to switch to Paymentsense?

For in-store businesses, we can have you set up in just 3 days. If for some reason your terminal goes down we'll dispatch a replacement by the next working day. For those taking payments online via our payment gateway or over the phone using a virtual terminal, we can get you up and running in as little as 24 hours.

What should I do about my existing card payments provider?

Once you've received a quote from us and you've agreed to switch, you can either call your card payments provider and end your contract or request a switcher pack from us to streamline the process.

Do I need to swap out my old card machine?

Yes. Once your merchant account has been approved, we'll send you a brand new card machine of your choice: countertop, portable or mobile. It'll arrive in 3 working days and after a quick swipe of the terminal with a credit or debit card, you'll be ready to go.

Will I lose revenue as I switch merchant accounts?

No. You won't lose a penny as you switch your merchant account. As soon as your current contract has been terminated you can connect your new terminal and swipe a credit or debit card to start using it straight away.
